Ochsner holds new facility open house

Ochsner Golden Opportunity members enjoyed an afternoon at Ochsner’s newest health center on the Northshore, Ochsner Health Center – Slidell West, 2104 Gause Blvd. W.

Members learned more about conditions associated with aging eyes from Ophthalmologist Wendy Doneyhue, MD and Optometrist Stephen Borchers, OD. In addition, participants learned about the new MyOchsner online healthcare management tool from Family Medicine Specialist Wendy Oberdick, MD.

Ochsner opened the Slidell West location in October 2009. The location includes family practice, optometry and ophthalmology services, and a fully-stocked retail eyeglass center, including prescription eye glasses, sun glasses, contact lenses and eyewear accessories.

Ochsner’s Golden Opportunity program is designed for adults 50 and older and promotes an active, healthy, independent lifestyle.
