The St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce CEO Lacey Toldeano has announced the six candidates nominated to serve a three-year term on the chamber’s board of directors.

To be considered, each candidate must be an active member in good standing.

The board is the governing and policy-making body of the organization that controls the property, directs the finances and directs the business. Toledano said the candidates are leaders that together with the returning board members represent a cross section of the business community in West St. Tammany.

In addition, six additional advisory board members will be appointed by the chairman of the board for a one-year term to enhance communications with other business groups, agencies, or non-profits and enable the Chamber to better serve our business members.

The nominees include: Nancy Lee of Ron Lee Homes/Hearthstone Homes; Melissa Hodgson, St. Tammany Parish Hospital; Tom Sheldon, Gulf Coast Bank; Larry Manshel, ITC Printing & Promotions; Cynthia Thompson, Merrill Lynch; and Paul Myers of Metairie Bank.

If no other nominations are received by the Chamber, they will be ratified later this month and take office in January 2011.
